Arlington is located in Shelby County, Tennessee, and the 2010 U.S. Census determined that this town was the second fastest growing community in Tennessee. In 2002, the population was a mere 2,500, but by 2010 it had grown by nearly 350% to a population of over 11,500. This is one of seven Shelby County municipalities, and it recently developed its own school district: Arlington Community Schools. Summers in Arlington are often uncomfortable with hot and humid conditions. However spring, autumn, and winter months are usually mild.
